Words have power. Written words provide proof. You can read them, and reread them whenever you want. They can speak life to someone who needs encouragement. They can speak death to someone who is being deceived. The choice lies within you. How is it that you want people to remember you? Encourager...that is the gift that God has laid on my heart. To use my written, spoken, and/or sung words to lift people up. To be one link in their road to healing, restoration, joy. I have been without those things, and I claim them to be mine again. If you want me to seek God on a prayer for a specific situation...that is why I am here. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to pray God's Word of Life over you.

Feeling blank...but wanna be inspired!

Hello all! What a week...few weeks it has been. Whew! God is helping me through some things that I have never quite grasped. As each new member of my family came, adding to the number, mess, noise, and level of insanity in my household...my list of things to be done grew. I have been trying desperately to find a balance...with no success. One of the first things to go...of course...devotions...blogging about God's work in my life...singing...writing. All the things that encourage me to keep going in life.

I am not surprised. The enemy knows how to get me down. He knows that by keeping me busy...I will not do the things the keep me the most connected with Christ. He knows that by keeping me feeling unconnected with Christ...that I will become frustrated much more easily. He knows that when I become frustrated...I will spend my days in guilt of all of the things I should have been doing in the first place. Are you seeing the downward spiral? Ugh...me too! Sadly...I am fairly sure I have blogged of this before.

But, I will press on. I will stand up and fight back. I am stronger than he (satan) thinks! I am more powerful than he realizes. I am more confident than he gives me credit. I am more blessed than he knows. And I WIN! =)

  1. Keep going, Vanessa. It's nutty with little ones in the house; I had three. But 'this too shall pass' and you will miss those days. Don't allow the guilt to overwhelm you because then you will easily feel guilt in other situations. God knows you and loves you and sees that your heart is set on Him. He will guide you through this.

One day it'll hit you that you can carve out a niche of time to spend with Him. Even ten minutes before their feet hit the floor in the morning is a start; be persistant and schedule that time each morning. I'm rooting for you!
